You make me want to go back.
Nicely done. Going to be heading out there in September. What did you think of the tour ? Been considering doing one in/near Acadia but wasn't sure if they are geared towards cell phone shooters or if there was more than just the tourist locations that they take you to. Did you look into any other tours and if so what made you choose this one ?
Appreciate any info you can give.

I read some reviews before actually booking this one. I was originally scheduled to go on his Sunset Cruise Safari last year while on vacation, but the weather didn't cooperate and it was cancelled. He issued a refund to my credit card within a couple of days. When we went up for the weekend, I booked again for the Ocean Drive tour. There was only one other person on the tour, so it was very personal. I think he said he does a night tour also, but only once or twice a month when there is the least amount of moonlight.
If you have some advanced skills -- which I do not -- some of the tour may be repetitive as he discussed exposure, composition, etc. For me and the other participant, it was very enjoyable. And Howie is very patient. he didn't hurry us along or have us take a ton of pictures. He would have us take one, then make a slight adjustment to the settings and take the same picture to see how the new settings affected the image. For my tour, we also used a tripod and a CPL filter. I do recommend it.

Great - will look deeper into it. the Sunset tour looked good and was thinking my non-photographer wife would even enjoy it. Only concerned about the temp and the weather though. I understand September can get a little chilly at night. Thanks for the information.
