Saving a Pax Camera

The other day a Pax Camera was giving to me. It was made Yamato between 1952 to 1955. The camera is in very good condition. Lens is clear, inside of camera is clear. Down side of the camera is that some of the parts will not move. As I understand it, non moving is because of grease that was pack in the camera when it was put together back in the 1950s. I can't get the ranger finder to line up. I don't known what film speed I am at. Looking for someone who has fix Pax Camera that can help me put the camera back up and running. If I can't the camera become a "wall hanger" Quinn 4

I've seen other members here direct people to a few vintage camera repair specialists.
Hopefully, they'll chime in.

Interesting. Someone should be able to repair it. If you dare to try to repair it yourself, take lots of pictures along the way and get a set of Japanese JIS screwdrivers.

So, despite your comment, the camera is NOT in good condition!

Get with it, Spete. Physical condition has nothing to do with parts that don't work.

Wall hanger is the best option.

You might check with Tempe Camera Repair. They do some fantastic work, especially on older cameras. I had my Leica IIIf rebuilt there and it works perfectly now.

Do people really have conversations like this in real life?

insane.

We all should be able to understand what's being said...or you would think that adults could...not sure here.

The camera will become a wall hanger, first time for everything. Rmalarz, too far to mail the camera and the repair cost would be way over the value of camera.
, thanks any way for the information Quinn 4
