Layer upon layer and 50 shades of grey fantastic shot mama. It envelopes you and drags you into the valley.
Very nice .

Thank you.
I liked this shot from the start, but from the silence since I posted this I didn't think anyone else did.

Some of us just had not seen it yet....

Generally, I am not a fan of BW landscape photos, but my guess is that there was not a lot of color that day. Even BW, I like it. It is a good shot showing the somewhat typical weather and gloominess in that area.

Now if I can just convince everyone that the weather is always like this in the Pacific Northwest, then maybe crowds will be at a minimal. :-)

Thank you. I am usually not a fan of B&W in landscapes either but like you said not much color here to start with. The last time I was in this area it was in the middle of a drought and we saw no rain. This time it rained every day, but since we have family just outside of Seattle we are in the Seattle area fairly often and I know that the weather is beautiful in the summer.

Some of us had to look at it repeatedly before the right words were assembled by which to express admiration for your incredibly sensitive assemblage of grays. It's simplicity, recession of depth, and depth of mood required several viewings to absorb.

A lovely accomplishment, Judy!

Thank you Dave. I was afraid it was too simple I took another with some logs on the beach in the foreground but felt they were a distraction. I kept coming back to this one.

Yes .. I love the layers. Beautiful moody image. I would like to see the logs one as that would be my criticism.
