This is East River Mountain Tunnel I-77, Through the windshield at about 65 miles per hour. I tried to capture Big Walker Mountain tunnel but just couldn't. There just dosn't seem to be any place to pull over and take a decent picture. The second picture in not through the windshield. I just wanted to take a picture of this building, The Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor Michigan. This is really a cool building inside and out.

You are right! I wish I could figure out how to do that non destructively. It seems to me that we see most of our country through the wind shield and windows as we travel down our interstates, or fly, or take the bus or train, and even look out of the windows of some high building. There are a few captivating panoramas viewing out of the windows toward the parking lot of the UV of Michigan Eye Center Building pictured above. There are many others as well still waiting to be discovered and photographed. Wish I had taken one. Thanks for viewing and your comment Jerryc41, always enjoy your posts, photos, and comments.

Garmin makes a weighted "beanbag" platform. It accepts their slide-in mounts. I've used their mounts for other devices. I also have the small, flat Garmin mounts attached to my dash. Even the "permanent" adhesive mounts can be removed without damage. They also have temporary adhesives. You can also get a GoPro of GoPro imitation and set it to click every so often - or record continuously. How about a dashcam? Lots of options.

From an old song "Lookin' at the world through a windshield, watchin' it fly by on the right".
chevman thanks for this thread, there are a lot of wish I could have moments along the highways. I have some also, but dirty windshields are not your friend.

Thanks again,
Ken

Thanks for looking in Ken, and you are right about dirty windshields, and also rock cracks on the windshield☹️! I'm going to try to capture more in the future. Edit; Photos, not rocks and dirt, 😝 LOL!

Good shots, chevman! Your first shot looks almost exactly like the mountain tunnels we go through when travelling from eastern PA to western PA!

Thanks for looking in Sue, I haven't ever seen those tunnels yet so I hope to come across those one day. There are two of these on I 77 heading north from Virginia into West Virginia the first one is Big Walker Mountain Tunnel, and the next one is right on the state line and it's East River Mountain Tunnel. These tunnels were quit an undertaking and took over five years to complete in the 1970s and cost millions and millions of dollars.
