Great shot! Did you use a lightning trigger?

Excellent shot Brent... you always manage to come up with something. This must have one of those wait and see kind of things. Anyway, good shot!

Damn fine photograph. Did you use a lightning trigger? I have a couple of them and they work really well. Was walking to my shop one day and there was lightning out, no big deal, a bolt or whatever it was went by so close every hair on my body stood up strait and it felt like I had a real bad sunburn on the back of my neck and arms. Ever since then I am a little more careful dealing with it. Great shot but be careful.

It would take more than that.

PP is its own skill set and you used some of that to make your image.

To plagiarize Meghan Trainor, "I see the magazine workin' that Photoshop, We know that $%^& ain't real, come on now, make it stop".

I can't get too excited about such things anymore and I still like the composition and it it's not like you are trying to pull off one of the greatest photographic lies in history. I read an article recently where someone had submitted a shot of the Aurora Borealis and they had never left their studio. Talk about smoke and mirrors.

I agree with you Mike that PP work is it's own skill. I feel that if you really want to create great photos, you need to be a good photographer and also skilled with the programs that enhance those photos. I'm not a purist that says you can't manipulate your photos to enhance them. Even the old masters like Ansel worked his photos over in the darkroom which is the old school way of the modern photo manipulating programs such as Photoshop.

Phil........ I have a confession to make to you and the previous UHH members.............I added the lightning to the photo. Without the lightning, the photo would be rather ordinary.
