Fantastic catch, Brent. That's a frameable image if ever there was one.

Sometimes it's not so much luck as skill in photography. This is one of those situations. Read down below and I will reveal my secrets!

That is an outstanding capture Brent! Would be a wall hanger for me.
Thanks so very much Jakebrake. I do have secrets that I have not yet revealed though.................sigh!
With all the nice compliments from everyone, I almost feel like a heel revealing the secrets behind this image Leicaflex.........sigh..........

A very different and appealing shot! I like the horizontal layers of the foreground contrasting the dramatic vertical bolt piercing the sky.
Thanks so much Carol for your scrutiny and analysis on this image. I like "different and appealing"!!!
Thanks for stopping by and your comment jaymatt!

I agree with the previous posts, you have outdone yourself.
Mike, I have a confession to make to you and the previous UHH members.............I added the lightning to the photo. Without the lightning, the photo would be rather ordinary. I feel like a heel now for tricking everyone.........sorry!
It's a relatively minor thing as most posts here have been fussed with to some degree.
I, for one, appreciate your candor.

Thanks Mike......we are still friends then?!?!?!?
It would take more than that.
PP is its own skill set and you used some of that to make your image.
To plagiarize Meghan Trainor, "I see the magazine workin' that Photoshop, We know that $%^& ain't real, come on now, make it stop".
I can't get too excited about such things anymore and I still like the composition and it it's not like you are trying to pull off one of the greatest photographic lies in history. I read an article recently where someone had submitted a shot of the Aurora Borealis and they had never left their studio. Talk about smoke and mirrors.
