Not Your Everyday Waterfront Property

Along a main roadway, we have often pass signage of a state park, but had never ventured in to visit. Seldom do we see few, if any, cars in the roadside parking area. Curiosity won us over to walk along a secluded and wooded pathway as access. The first glimpse you come across is a very scenic view before you are enshrouded by woods again til the end of the pathway to walk down some stairs to begin your destination. The part I am showing is that which you would not likely envision with your first thoughts when you associate the words 'State Park' or 'waterfront property.' But...now I've been there.

What a spot to "Rest the Soul". My husband is from New Bedford, Mass., and our trips there are so hurried, full of visiting family. All wonderful but no time to venture out and see all the sights such as your photos. Enjoyed very much. Sandy

Nice of you to look in and comment. Glad you enjoy your 'peek' visits. New Bedford has a bevy of highlights to experience from the harbor life to museums, the zoo and the Zeiterion Theatre, and more. And you would be only an hour or so from the Cape Cod area to extend a visit to a vacation.

Thank you for your visit. Glad you enjoyed. There is a lovely area to experience that never seems crowded. These were just oddities that make you go 'Hmmm.' If someone will spend good money for waterfront property, would you expect this rocky landscape be the choice?

Are you going to tell us where it is, or are you keeping it to yourself. (Don't blame you if you do the latter. Very pretty!!)

Thank you, Steve. Indeed, those roads are always there...we just have to make the choices. Pleased to have you stop in and enjoy them.

Well, mmfox, thank you for the gut punch... I deserved that. Mea cupla, no disrespect intended. These images show the Ellisville State Park in Plymouth, MA. Born and raised here and still finding new places (in the largest town, area-wise, in Mass). Appreciate your time to visit and comment.
