I saw advertising for a company selling staggered canvas groupings of one image spread across multiple canvasses, which looked pretty nice. After poking around the internet awhile, I found how to use clipping masks to build the shapes you want and then spread the image file across those shapes. If you wanted to make your own wall display, you could use the crop & straighten tool in PS to create separate individual files. Attached is one of my first attempts.

That is a great first attempt. The main thing I might say is, like most things in art aesthetics, use odd numbers. In your case here, three: One tall up two short down. Or try a pattern with five panels. Also I know when I took a photo class where the instructor wanted panels he was not fond of ones with little in them or like your far right panel "same on same". Look up "triptych" and "triptych photography" on the Web or in an Art History book to see what painters and photographers did with this concept. You are not limited to "cutting up" one image. Several related images can be used too.

Very nice. The comment about odd numbers of images is appropriate, but I can't really see why your quatrefoil isn't a great result as it stands. Theory vs. practice?

Thanks cambriaman. I originally thought of doing this as a triptych, but felt it looked better with four panels. (BTW, quatrefoil is a really cool word which I had never heard before!)
