The mural was monochrome, but in blue and white.

Any idea whether the mural came after the somewhat small, short door was installed? I wonder - and don't really expect you necessarily know - why such a diminutive doorway was installed unless it just appears short due to the perspective of this unusual and interesting shot. And I wonder why the muralist chose to record this somewhat mundane scene in such detail? /Ralph

Nice shot, Voss! I like it a lot.

I had to look twice to realize the man wasn't part of the mural. All I saw extraneous at first was the Ford pickup.

To answer the perspective question, I assume that's a regular-sized door and the man is standing at a elevation from the mural. That's what makes sense to me.

I checked a couple other photos, and the ground definitely slopes downward a few feet in front of the wall. He must have been standing on the crest. I can only guess on the reason, but there are a LOT of murals in that area. Most are quite colorful and somewhat or greatly abstract. This makes his mural different, which likely was at least part of his goal.

Thanks, jaymatt. Got a chuckle out of that. Yes, you're right regarding the size disparity.

Good shot, and the slightly skewered perspective of the man to the door makes it interesting ...

Thanks, truckster. (By the way, have you considered changing your name to "trickster"? )
