Looks like a choice you'll be happy with.

Thanks for the links. I will look into the articles.
Nice looking laptop. About the only thing missing is a touch screen like the Surface Pro and Vaio Canvas has. Don't worry about the 512G internal drive if you need more room just pick up a 2TB or larger WD Passport to dump your overages onto until you can get them home. I have 512Gb on my Vaio Canvas and I have never had a problem running out of room as my desktop machine is my go to for final work and storage and I carry that Passport with me. They're small enough to put in your pocket.

Appreciate the suggestion.
For Elements 11 or newer versions it will be fine for post processing. I also have PS CC & LR CC loaded on my laptop. Unless space is a consideration, you'll get better/faster performance and more bang for the buck with a desktop. I have an ASUS laptop with similar components. It's excellent, but not nearly as fast as my desktop.

Asus is a great brand, it has great specs and a good price.
I'd like to see the CPU a little faster. Say 3.0-3.2 Ghz

Amazon has the newer model with 4K resolution touch screen for $1,400. Two things of concern to me are the lack of a back lighted key board and the low 6 hr. battery life. I also did not see any spec. on the weight of this laptop. Price is generally inversely proportional to the weight of the laptop. If these concerns are not important to you, then go for it. Newegg has been around for quite a while and should be a reputable dealer.

It will be more than adequate. Store your photos on an external drive and your catalog on the laptop.
