It is amazing how much help the VA has given me. I am sleeping better, more alert during the day, the social workers are helping me deal with the depression.
One thing that has helped me fall asleep quickly are the guided meditations on youtube. The first one here is amazing https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=youtube+guided+meditations+chakra&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Glad the VA is being a lot of help to you. With all the negative attention they've gotten the last few years, it's nice to see a positive report. Thanks for your service. There are a lot of veterans here on the Hog.

I am happy that the VA has been able to help you, lately anything about the VA has been entirely negative. Thank you for your service.

Glad to hear you are working with non-medication techniques (perhaps as well as medications). Medications can be helpful, but sometimes just adding medications is the easy way out for a psychiatrist/psychologist. There are a lot of other things to try - meditation, biofeedback, etc. Thank you for your service.

Actually the VA is mostly excellent.
I have an old friend that was cared for by the VA nursing home here in Boise till he died. They were marvelous. I have a still living friend that was blinded a few years ago and they are giving him marvelous care including a recent five week blind Vet training in Tuscon that included new tools for him. He was delighted by their thorough and thoughtful help.
They also were thoughtful and kind for the interment of my son at the VA cemetery last year.
What amazes me is that anyone thinks media repots today have any truth value. It is mostly fake news to forward the media companies political agenda.

Its not fake news. What is reported actually happened at a few VA hospitals. The pols made it seem nationwide.
