Pearson Falls

Couple inches of rain meant I had to get out and see what Pearson Falls near Saluda, NC looked like..... My usual 5 shot bracket, 1/3 to 1/30th combined/processed directly in Aurora Pro instead of LR this time.... Bit of breeze mades some of the leaves move, but not too distracting....

I think that is very nice and the little movement on the leaves to the right adds interest and helps to describe the atmosphere. I like how some water is milky while some is clear, a beautiful shot.

Very nice. 1/8th of a second makes a nice water texture as there is some motion and some that seems more detailed. Some of the really long (30 sec) exposures seem a little too cotton candy like.

Think you read my post wrong... that was 1/30th of a sec. The longest was 1/3 rd of a second. Any variation in the way the motion looks is strictly because of the nuances of the falls, not of the individual exposures as all are combined in Aurora Pro to produce one image. Hate to admit it, but actually forgot my ND filters when I left for the hike.... 😎

I guess it retained the EXIF from one of the images and that's where I got the shutter speed.

Nope, none of the images were at 30 secs. The image above shows as 1/8th sec shutter speed which was one of the 5 images. Not sure what you're seeing. Can you post a screen shot?

That's what I said, I saw EXIF of your image at 1/8th of a second. That's what the EXIF says on the image you posted.

Now THAT is what a gorgeous, majestic falls looks like when captured with excellence
