I currently live in Northern California, not far from several beautiful State Parks, with incomparable beauty and not far from San Francisco! I have been so fortunate to live in many fabulous places, such as Tucson, Arizona, Washington, D.C; Riverside, California, nearly three years in Bermuda and visited Hong Kong, England, Germany, France and Canada. As we get old, our memory sometimes slips away. I LOVE taking pictures to solidify "the good times"....I want so much to have some training to improve my techniques. I'm old and don't have a lot more "time", but I want to use my time adequately and continue to learn!

Thank you, for being there!! Emma Peach

Welcome! Sounds like you have had a lot of fun moving around. When I pass I want my camera with me. I will be the first to take shots down at the earth and not up at the Moon. :) Show us a few shots!

Here's my advice. Get the hell out of the People's Republic of California! Take photos around San Fran., Yosemite, and San Diego and run for the border. Not the Mexican border.

Sounds like you're confident that, when you die, you're going to go in the right direction <G>. But I think a few astronauts beat you to being the first to take shots down at the earth.

I knew that would push a few buttons. My only experience with CA was at Squaw Valley on a skiing trip a few years back. I'm just a trouble maker and like to fire things up. Hope to get to Yosemite one day. And friends tell me San Diego is great. I try to remove politics from photography. If I made anyone mad GOOD, I DON'T CARE! Just kidding. I just go with the flow.

Welcome, Emma! I 'm an old fart myself, and just from lurking here, I have learned a lot!! Looking forward to seeing your pics.
Do you happen to have any shots of the Notre Dame cathedral? Seeing that beautiful structure is number one on my to -do list!
