When I was using Nikons, I was able to buy a plastic covered page sized card that folded,, with
all I need to know for my case.....Is there one for the Sony 6000s ? My problem is that if
I go a month w/o using the camera, I need to refresh my skills with it.

The neat thing about the a6000 is there are built in tutorials and help guides in the settings.

David Busch's excellent guides to the A600x cameras are available as Nook books that you can download to your smartphone. They are much better than the Sony manual and have a good ToC to make it easy to find what you are looking for.

I bought the Friedman book and did not find it intuitive or friendly...... as an older man, I need a
1.push this button, then 2.scroll with the wheel, then 3.etc., then ,4. etc...The folding page of
knowledge my Nikon had was perfect...even pictures!..tho small.

While that is true, I have found the David Busch books on the a6300 to be more useful to point and shoot users. He gets very detailed on using the automatic and scenic modes and not much on the "deeper mysteries." I'm not very happy with Gary Friedman because of the lack of an index, but otherwise it is head and shoulders above David Busch's offering. It is also available in kindle and I have it on my tablet and phone.

I think the factory default is the C3 button at the bottom right corner. One of the first things David Busch recommends is to reprogram this button to manual focus lupe, but in your case you may be better off leaving it 'as is'.
