Because of being partially disabled, , I find it difficult, at times, to position myself to use the camera’s viewfinder or LCD screen. This is particularly true when trying to position the camera to take macro, closeup shots, or landscapes where the camera is close to the ground. I notice that Sony makes an LCD screen for this purpose, model CLM-FHD5. However there are two problems with this unit. First, it is only 5”, whereas, I would like to use a unit that is 7-9”. Secondly, but not as important, would be to find a lower cost unit. The Sony screen it is fairly expensive costing $698. I have tried to find an alternative. One that would provide focus peaking, trigger the shutter and auto focus, and allow me to see other settings such as aperture, speed etc. There seems to be many similar LCD monitors made by IKAN and others. Does anyone have a recommendation for a unit that would work with my camera and have the necessary functionality?
Not sure if Sony has something similar but many newer cameras have Bluetooth abilities where one can use a tablet to remote control the camera. I've used my Panasonic and iPad in such a configuration.

I wonder what that would do to the battery life of the A7R-II?
Yes, I find camera battery life is reduced when Bluetooth is switched on.
I have the Sony CLM V55 clip on monitor, which I use for low shots or shots that my body doesn't like to conform to. lol.
I was lucky and bought it as a used item along with battery. I've just looked on Amazon and the price in the US is just under $400. (Not sure if battery is included).
Yes it's screen is approx. 5" but for my purpose it is fine.

there is a sony play memories app available for iPhone and android phones and tablets that let's you view and remote control your sony camera (not all models) with nfc, direct wi fi and/or Bluetooth.
