President Jackson and the Civil War- Educating Historically Illiterate Fools like Keenan.--alternate discussion

Loc: Portland OR and Milan Italy
I am starting this thread because the author of the original topic entitled "President Jackson and the Civil War- Educating Historically Illiterate Fools like Keenan." has blocked me. He obvious could not answer any of the questions I posed and so put me on the ignore list so that I cannot post there, exposing himself as a simple troll who can dish it out but can't take it.
Since I am no longer able to respond in the original thread I have started my own to continue the dialog. Let's see if he has the courage or wit to respond here. That's the great thing about the USA. We have First Amendment rights. God bless.
The whole Jackson debacle is only the latest utterance that exposes Trump's frightening and unprecedented (not "unpresidented") lack of basic knowledge about the history of our great country, and has raised the hackles of liberals and conservatives alike. Here is an article by George Will, a conservative author with whom I don't always agree, but whom I deeply respect.
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/447310/trump-civil-war-history-comments-show-lack-interest-america-pastFurther, here is an article showing that the "Jackson gaffe" is part of a pattern that reveals a basic deficit in the man himself, for which no amount of money or power can compensate.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/05/04/donald-trump-says-hes-a-fan-of-history-but-he-doesnt-seem-to-trust-historians/?utm_term=.19f0e1fd5976I welcome rational discussion, and I hope that those who disagree with me can at least refrain from sophomoric name-calling if they have nothing better to offer. As the wise adage says, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt."
I will be going to South Korea to report on the e******n there and so may not be able to respond immediately, but I will try to be here when possible.
oh, you musty be the lying liberal...LOL
Eyesore is quite the boy! LOL! He may be competing with his twin for the bigger ignore list.
To feed the feckless fool is frankly frivolous, fruitless and futile.

Well, there's a rational mind for you, blaming without evidence, desperately defending his ignorance against possible t***h and historical knowledge.
No finer example defines conservative panic with t***h.
Have a sad life....

Again you are one of the few on the forum who display their inability to detect sarcasm, particularly knowing the players. I'm disappointed as I was the last time.
ESY is a not so smart snowflake. Does not take much for it to push the ignore button.
Its pretty hilarious also. At one point on the other thread it quips, "repeating the same BS will not make it true," as it proceeds to paste the same article five times on that short thread...too funny.
Trump's grasp of history and past events (both real events and the events Trump just makes up) is less than sophomoric. Got to give him credit though...he lets nothing stand in his way, not even reality.
Trump-Sump,the swamp drainer, really should preface all his statements with "Once upon a time...",like many other fairy tales.

Well, I bit, didn't I? Perhaps you haven't discovered sarcasm doesn't work in print unless it's very obvious.
It's difficult to exaggerate conservative paranoia.
How about these... ;-). ?

In a past reply to you, I did reflect upon the lack of facial expression and voice intonations and the use of stupid, but sometimes helpful emojis.

Stupid as they are, they would save me from embarrassment sometimes, wouldn't they?
I always take this crap too seriously.
Cheers.

I know what you mean, but often there are not enough serious folk around! Frankly I prefer the humorous escape as opposed to the serious. Some say that there is time and a place and neither permanently reside on the Hogg!
Seriously,enjoy your day!

I have to take exception that there are just a few.
