The barn swallows and the bobolinks were the biggest challenge of the day. Both fly very quickly and unpredictably. I did the best I could with a sore and tired shoulder.

This posting concludes the series of photos taken at Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. Thanks to all who have looked in and commented.

Thank you very much Angela!

I appreciate your comment about the barn swallows, but I wish I could have done better. We came upon them late in our four hour trek and by that time I was spent. Maybe next time! The little turtle didn't move a bit and he allowed us to get as close as we wanted to him, so he was a perfect subject.

Thank you Sylvia. I appreciate all of your kind comments and the smiley face. Glad that you enjoyed my critters.

Many of these were first timers for me.

Very nice Larry, and some would have to give these speedy guys a try to appreciate the in flight images!

Wonderful shots, Larry, especially the BIFs...not the easiest, especially a barn swallow! Well done!

LOL, they are not as easy as a gull or pelican or most birds, definitely a test.

(Very windy here, just lost power for the third time in about five minutes. Laptop is on battery, but everything else is rebooting.)

I appreciate your looking in and your charitable comments.

Madman...nice shots of the barn swallows in flight. One of my favorite types of photography is shooting BIF. As far as difficulty is concerned, swallows have to be the toughest subjects.
