I do not think that the 70 -300mm is a dx lens , I have one and it a vr but it is a full frame lens by all accounts , but I'm using if on dx camera

Excellent, chase. The first on is perfect-pose, sharpness, clarity. The second is also well done-the bird just isn't posing as pretty!

I love both of these but there's something about the first one that makes me think the bird is actually looking at us rather than vice versa. Great.
