I know theres many ways to shoot outdoors, but would like to know how many shoot manual or aperture. I use Manual out doors. I set my camera to bracket 3 shots.

FWIW - I shoot manual outdoors as well as indoors, ISO mostly locked, sometimes make use of auto ISO.

When doing my macro work with flash I use manual for everything, SS, Aperture, ISO and flash output.
For more 'normal' work I like Aperture priority.

If I want to do something special, like motion blur or unique depth of field control, I'll use Shutter, Aperture or Manual settings. If I'm enjoy the surroundings, an event or being an attentive tourist, I will put the camera on "Intelligent Auto". Like it or not, it seems to nail it 99% of the time.

I shoot almost always manual, much more control over image, but at times i do use Aperture priority. Im always adjusting my iso depending how the light changes outdoors. and don't forget white balance.

Manual so I can set the sunny 16 rule up and down the scale. I set my ISO to 100.

I shoot 100% manual for everything, If my old photography teacher ever found out I was shooting any other way, he would take my camera and my lenses. Saying I wouldnt deserve to have such a nice camera, and that I should use my cell phone..... ( the guys was tough)

Your old photography teacher was irrationally inflexible. Even pros, when faced with rapidly changing lighting conditions, will often use aperture or shutter priority instead of constantly taking new manual meter readings and therefore missing shots.

It depends on what I am shooting, and the lighting conditions.
If I think the in-camera will be fooled then I will be shooting in manual exposure mode.

Well...normally it depends on the camera. For my Nikons I shoot manually they don't do anything but manual, with my Olympus Trips...I shoot fully auto because the camera won't do anything else.

I am not locked in to any mode. The one I use least is auto. Most-Shutter priority. Depends upon the situation. Any instructor tht commands you to only use one mode of shooting is an idiot.

My way of thinking, unless strobes are involved, shooting in manual is like running the 100 yard dash with your shoe laces tied together. Yeah you can do it, but you are not going to win any prizes.

I like Aperture priority. I like to control depth of field.
