For the second time in many years, I recently stopped at the CGM in Embudo, NM (south of Taos). It's a fantastic little place jammed with petroliana and countless other transportation related items. The museum has been at this location for a long time but will soon move to an old and large, remodeled warehouse in Santa Rosa, NM. The owner says the warehouse will allow for much more of his collection to be on display. The museum's name will change to reflect it's new location on Route 66 and the move should be completed sometime in early summer this year. A few pics of the current location are attached.

Nice pics.....
Is that the stop right down on the edge of the Rio Grande? If so, is the restaurant still there and on?
Excellent! Did you ever see that show, "American Restoration" (I think)? They restored old gas pumps and similar old items and then sold them for a large profit. I hope someone gets to those old pumps before they rust away entirely.
Those old gravity flow pumps are already worth a fortune.

We call those Visible Pumps, and yes they are very expensive that is if you can find someone who wants them more than you. I sold 13 unrestored pumps to a friend who has automobile signage and Muscle Cars, and yeah he has the money. There use to be a lot of petroleum memorabilia, pumps and the like on e-bay but I think now it is gone.
