Has anyone used and have an opinion of InPixio Photo Maximizer 4, either regular or pro versions? They do not seem to have a trial version.
My primary use would be enlarging tight crops of birds. Even with a 500mm lens, song birds do not fill mch of the frame.
Thanks.
Just how far away do you want to take pictures of birds? If you think enlarging them digitally is going to work, you are wrong. You say nothing about the equipment you are using. Read some information on taking bird pictures. If you have to take bird pictures so far away, be prepared to spend a considerable amount of money. Purchasing these inexpensive long zoom lenses, no tripod is not the answer.
Enlarging a digital image is fraught with issues. Some of them can be accommodated with some software. However, I reiterate my initial sentence.

I'm waiting to see if anyone has actually tried it and what they think.
See my comment. Though, it was my experience at a friend's photo processing business. I think he kept the software instead of taking advantage of the 60 day money back offer. The attitude was "only as a last resort" and then only if working on a client's images.

Thank you each for your comments. As a photographer, I am aware of the limits and problems of over cropping. As a birder, I like to take at least one identifiable photo of as many species as possible, (with hopes of later replacing it with a better shot). Often that means taking a shot at more distance than I would for a quality shot, which is what prompted my question about the software. A poor photo of an uncommon species for documentation purposes is still more desirable than none at all, even though I would not use it for general viewing.
I currently use Pentax K3 with a Pentax 70-300mm, Tamron 18-250mm, or Sigma 120-500 lens, depending on circumstances such as being at a stationary location, trekking trough trails, and handheld, with monopod, or tripod, again depending on circumstances.
