...when I bust out the old macro lens. The mystery flower in the last shot is very tiny - no bigger than my thumbnail. Can't find it in any of my reference books.

Dennis, I can't help you with the ID, but I did enjoy this set. Spring is a wonderful time of year when every day there's something new to shoot!!

Nice series, Dennis! The last shot is of a starflower, can't recall the exact genus, something like Iphigenia. It's a bulb, flowers in early spring, and mainly purple-blue flowers.

Many garden catalogs carry them.

all the little wildflowers are mysteries to me, but it is a pretty little purple flower. good job on the forsythia shots...
one of my favorite early spring flowering bushes.
