The bighorn sheep in #2 are from a different location, west of Yakima.

3. Bighorn sheep in the canyon seemed scarcer last year. Hopefully better luck in 2017.

4. Bonus eagle, a nearly mature adult still hanging around. Usually only the nesting pair by now.

Thanks Earl! The 14-140 mm lens and the Lumix allow quite significant cropping, I was happy to see (#2 and #3). But I have a 75-300 mm coming this week, so will be interesting to compare. And of course not even the sx50 can reach some of the far-out birds like pelicans high in the sky

Looks like magnificent country side Linda. Thank you taking me on the visit. All are nice but I love the pelicans and the eagle.
Very nice shots. You really have an amazing variety of wildlife up there.
Nice captures, I look forward to seeing what you get with your new lens. I suspect they will not disappoint!

No.1 makes it for me, a really enjoyable image. I could sit and stare at that for too long! Perhaps the only thing that might improve it for me would be a RED train moving into the shot from the left (assuming that is a railroad) just above the road.
The bighorn don't do much for me, but the lone Eagle has a sense of impending superiority over his domain - just learning the ropes at the mo.
The pelicans in no.5 have just about the right balance between cloud and valley side, which sadly doesn't carry as well into no.6.
All in all, a very enjoyable set.
