My Friend wanted to photograph my owls. My Owls as I call them are a pair of Barred Owls that live in the Central Ridge Community Park, formally known as Lake Beverly. The Owls has been there for years and has become accustomed to humans walking the trail everyday. The Barred Owls will show up along the path and allow many shots. I have been as close as 10 feet, if I do not move fast they stay and observe me as I observe them. The Owls are always there, many of the walkers never see them as they walk right under them. For a Photographer they provide an opportunity after opportunity for various shots, as they fly to each other and move from branch to branch. You can always hear them hooting to each other making it easy to locate. I have hundreds of shot of them and I am beginning to think they know me as they follow me around at times. I was taking photo in the middle of the park and I decided to move down the path to a more secluded place and when I got here I looked up and there was the owl.
Excellent captures. Fine job.
These are really great shots. I especially like the pair together and the last one of the owl in flight.
Where I live, I often hear them calling to each-other in the evening but I can only recall seeing them three times. I've never seen two at the same time.

Exceptional shots, nicely done.
These are fantastic! The one coming at you in flight is awesome. Which lens were you using? I see you were only at 150mm so you must have been very close to them.
We are in a monsoon season now, so I may not get to see Hootie (my Barred Owl) till next year. It's too dark in the woods where he stays. I would dearly love to see yours.
Super shots, Robert!
Love the set. I've been looking for owls in my area. I know they are around , but no luck so far.
Really good photos. That last one has to be in the category of 'once-in-a-lifetime' shots.
