SQUIRL033 Loc: Chehalis, WA

Went up north to almost the Canadian border today to get some loons... came home with literally hundreds of images of them, but the best came just before we left. Gorgeous evening sunlight, and the loons were in close - this is a full-frame, uncropped shot taken from the beach - the loon was probably no more than 50 feet away! Will post more as I get through them all...

Very well done! Rocky, you are so right on the light. Were you using two or three heads with your 5000 watt power supply and it looks like two reflectors too. What some people won't do to get the perfect shot. If you let me come with you next time I'll wade out into the water and hold one of your lights. Great shot!
