I was born in Dunsmuir and growing up I had on my bedroom wall the black & white version of the 2nd image. Probably taken from the same point of view, at that time part of my great grandfather's race horse breeding ranch... long since gone but the mountain is still there although it's expected by volcanologists to be the next big one to blow on that part of the ring of fire.

Thanks for your comments. It is a beautiful mountain. We live on Rainier's doorstep which is also a very dangerous volcano.
