We recently had lunch at a small restaurant that also included a nursery. So when lunch was over I headed for the nursery, camera in hand. There was an intermittent breeze that day, so I set ISO at 640 to, hopefully, ensure adequate shutter speed. Posting 10 images and I hope you enjoy. Comments welcomed and thanks for the views.

That's like hunting over a baited field; Nice work.

Nice set. Could not have been too breezy. I guess from film habits I just blow off shooting flower close-ups or macros on windy days. I guess I might try as I can easily feel comfortable at ISO 1,600. What shutter speed were you getting? All rather good shots there!

I'm a firm believer in shooting at garden centers and nurseries. No one can have all the flowers in their garden! You captured a great assortment.

Thank you very much for looking in and for your comments. I appreciate it. As for shutter speed, it varied quite a bit. Highest was 1/2000 for shots in full sun, some in partial shade were 1/800 or 1/1250, and slowest was 1/250 for the cat in full shade.

Thank you very much Carol for looking in and for your nice comments. I almost never have access to places for shooting birds or animals, so I make it a point to take advantage of whatever opportunities that present themselves. So nurseries and parks are usually good places to get some keepers.
