Scanning from Elements 11

Looking for help in determining what software I should use for scanning from an Epson Workforce printer to a Mac mini with OS 10.10.5. and Elements 11.

I can scan by going through the printer preference, but would like to access scanner through Elements 11.

Thanks

Mac: Go to Applications>Adobe Photoshop Elements 11>Support Files>Optional Plug-Ins and move the ImportModules folder into Applications>Adobe Photoshop Elements 11>Support Files>Plug-Ins.

This is a bit different from the last couple of versions where you just moved the actual plug-in file, but it’s just as easy to do.

EDIT Well, that’s the official way to do it, but a little experimenting shows that a much simpler file path that works just as well is to just grab the Import-Export s folder (depending on your operating system), and move it into the main Plug-ins folder

Install Epson Scan software. You can find the appropriate version at epson.com. They may also have a TWAIN driver for your scanner, which should work if Elements 11 supports TWAIN.

This is what I found after I moved Import Modules to Plugins. Does this look correct? If it is correct, how do I access the scanner?
Thanks

Is your scanner loaded on your puter.

I can scan and print by accessing the printer's preferences. That leads me to assume that the printer drivers that I installed are functioning.

Did you load all of the software bundled with your scanner? If not, go to EPSON's site and download the latest installers. Be sure to install Epson Updater as well.

Most multi-function machines come with a printer driver, a TWAIN scanner interface, a copy of Epson Scan, and perhaps an OCR package like Abbyy Fine Reader. Epson Utilities should also be installed.

I downloaded Epson combo package for the printer again.Followed instructions posted here again. No luck.

After looking at Mac/Elements sites for troubleshooting, it appears as if it is more complicated. Elements 11 may use the TWAIN plug in for more than one function and there can be conflicts.

I also found this- "To scan directly into Photoshop Elements 11 using its included TWAIN driver, you'll need a Mac that's capable of running the Rosetta PowerPC emulation" If I can verify this, I am not sure I want to use it.

Is there anyone on this site that has been been able to access a scanner through Elements 11 using OS 10.10.x?

Must be a VERY old scanner. Rosetta hasn't been around since 10.5.x. It was the PowerPC processor emulator. 10.5.x ran on both Intel and PowerPC chips. Rosetta ran the code that wasn't Intel compatible on the Intel chips.

The latest scanners should work.

Scanner is less than 5 years old.
It is still being sold.
It appears as if it is an Elements 11 issue.
