Could you please provide more details about what you're trying to do, and with what software product?

Thanks for your quick reply.
I'm using photoshop elements & lightroom 4 I have several prints that I have signed that I would like
to re edit when I try to use the clone stamp tool I'm told you must simplify the type before using.

it means that the type isn't rasterized (like a pixel) it's an object. You have to turn it into a raster later before you can edit it. (as a pixel.) When you choose "OK" from that dialog box it simplifies the type and you can do whatever you want with it.

but if it's type, then you should be able to just choose the type tool and select the text and type to correct...just like in a word processing document.

No idea what you are asking. Try using decent English when writing instead of following all those who write like slobs.

I hate when my type isn't rasterized and has to be simplified.

To what does 'type' refer? Typography fonts? File types? Or?

"Type" = fonts
"Simplify" = rasterize in PSE speak

And for God's sake don't emulate the (very few ) trolls who contribute nothing, behave like jerks, and constantly bring nothing to the forum execept rude, negative comments.

Another reason to avoid PSE... Adobe invented PostScript but they won't call rasterizing rasterizing? Jeez! They've "simplified" their terms to the point where neither pros nor beginners understand them.

I've learned to laugh at them, TriX. Their attitudes are their problems, not ours.
