Just asking how comfortable would you be in giving financial information to somebody on the phone that says they are calling from your bank, credit card company, stock broker etc and they can hardly speak English? All the aforementioned are starting to bring in TEMPS to take over from citizens. They are usually here for 6 months and sent home to bring in another bunch of same.
What kind of security has these establishments have in place for them to get all our personal information and use it afterwards. I'm sure that most here have had calls from windows with detected problems with your program and they need to get into your computer. Or there's nothing wrong with your credit card BUT. Not saying they are all crooked ,but after all these calls it kind of throws an alert that rings the bells when you hear that accent. JMHO
I don't give out that kind of info over the phone.
If they are calling you, chances are you should first get information from them, not the other way around. You should then break contact and contact your agency to verify. Those last two examples are well known scams. Hang up on those.
Yeah, some of those temps could be as crooked as some of those great citizens! Plus, ones with "good" English should be more honest.
Is that anything to do with the calls "..to reduce your interest rate on your credit cards."?
All of the institutions I deal with currently speak fluent English, and they usually don't call me.
IMO,anyone who needs to ask the question is ripe for the picking!
BTW,what's your number?

Watch out for those guys that ask "can you hear me"they tape you and when you answer yes they fix it so you have agreed to buy something and later want payment.
NO information over the phone--ever. Do not respond to any questions about anything.
Scammers, do not say anything to them.
If I get a phone call from some unknown source, I am reluctant to even admit to being me.
