The NEW Tamron 10-24mm appears to have excellent specs. The old one is not nearly as good.
I'm really impressed with my Tokina 11-16 on my d5500. Pictures are super sharp. . . Great for wide landscapes and interiors.
I have owned the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 and it is a fine lens. I recently bought the Tokina 14-20 f2 lens, and while it is not as wide at its widest, it is about as sharp a lens as you will find. It is fast at f2 and unbelievably sharp. If you can forego the extra width of the 11-16, I would recommend this one. If you want wider, I concur with the 11-16

Presume that is the Nikon 10-24. It is excellent glass. It takes wonderful images. But it lacks VR. For landscapes you want to use f16 or higher and ISO 200 or less. That leads to needing a tripod for sharp images.
I now prefer my f2.8 Sigma 17-50. It is as sharp and has VR (OS). If I need panos I take multiple (handheld) overlapping shots and combine in Lightroom. I occasionally find use for the f2.8 indoors. It stays on my D5300 90% of the time. It cost a bit less than the Nikon 10-24.
yes it is and I heartily recommend the Nikkor. I (unfortunately) have the Tamron. It (the Tamron) has some distortion at 10mm. I haven't used, and don't have an opinion of the Sigma but Sigma does have decent glass too.
For my half frame camera, Nikon D90, I shoot a Tokina 11-16. I recommend it highly.

10x24 Nikon, But it's an Ultra wide, some vignette but very usable, Amazing Lens, had one on my D5300 and it was fantastic, now on my D7200, You'll Love it
I believe it can focus to a few inches if you need a close up. and if you want a hallway just point it straight ahead and you'll see down both side of the hall.
ask your camera shop to try it on and you'll see for yourself. You can point it down and still see up !! It's a really cool lens. Really Wide ! hope this helps, try to borrow one before
you purchase as it's not for everyone!
