This Goldfinch has started to change into his Summer plumage. Soon he'll have a vibrant yellow body and a black cap and wings.

As soon as they molt into bright yellow they leave here for their nesting grounds further north. Beautiful shot of your little goldie, Pierre!

In a few days we'll be enjoying the uplifting experience of having the ice go out in front of home. There a slight current along our lake shore and it floats out the whole ice floe. It's a thrill to see it go.
We've already had a few geese and ducks fly in.
