Elementary Question...

In simple terms that I might understand...how does the file size get so small when exporting from Lightroom. I just got a Nikon d500, shooting JPEG Fine. Imported images in to LR. Edited them. Exported them with no specifics in the file size portion of the export page and the files are still only 900KB to 1.5MB. I guess my brain cannot wrap itself around this. Can anyone help?

When you save as a JPEG (?), you are presented with a choice as to size/quality. Just pick a higher quality. My "12" (highest) quality JPEGs average 10-12MB

Is this on the Lightroom export page?

Under file menu, "save as" or "export".

Check that the "Resize to fit" box in the Image Sizing section isn't ticked (it stays ticked until you un-check it).

Also check that the quality slider in the File Settings section is fully to the right (100%), and the "Limit File Size To" box isn't checked.

Yes, there are a host of choices in the right hand panel of the Export dialog. Just go through each one carefully.
