Snapped this one too quickly ... I cropped out a tree on the right side, the tree the camera auto focused on. I didn't "see" that when I took the picture and the subject (the walker) is out of focus. How would you have shot this scene?

The composition is good. As far as taking the photo, since he was at a distance and walking away from you, you probably could have focused manually without losing the photo. As far as saving this photo, I downloaded it, increased the contrast, and ran it through the Auto Sharpen function. It helped.
