Any Canon lens hackers out there? Nikon user could use some help with examples. working up a club demo.
I shoot Nikon and have a collection of old fully manual F mount lenses, even some old T mount lenses etc. I am going to do a club demo on Macro/close up and use tubes, bellows and a manual 105mm kiron lens, not to mention a reverse adapter with a Pentax 1.4 50mm lens. I also will show simple lens converters that can be effective on great old glass that do not have to focus to infinity for close up work.
Canon mounts are tough to follow. Any of you mess with adapting old Manual glass on your digital cameras and shoot. Great selections of adapters on eBay but could use some real info to build a guide/examples for Canon users.
Thanks in advance for any info. JB

I have an example, I took with an old Pentax 75/2.8 in reverse on a cheap Velbon macro slider ($69), all mounted to a Canon 5D M II
I use the photodiox pro adaptor for mine.

This may help:
http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Lens_mountsNikon F has a registration distance of 46.5mm which makes adapting many lenses difficult without intermediate optics. It's easy to put Nikkor, Pentax (M42) and Contax lenses (Etc.) on a Canon but not the other way round. Old Canon glass (Pre 1987) on modern Canon EOS is more complicated but it can be done.
