This mornings walk around Green Cay

Here's a few photos from this morning's walk around Green Cay. In fairness, one was from yesterday near my house. All where shot with a Nikon D750
and an Nikon 300mm F4 lens. I wish I had the 500mm for the hawks, but that will be the next lens after I save a few more pennies.

Beautiful set ksmmike. I particularly like the imagination you used in getting the abstracts from the foliage. But the birds are also gorgeous. I never have been able to capture the owl successfully. I walk around Green Cay about once a week myself and love it.

The owl can be tricky since he hides in the palm frowns so well. I just happen to catch him at a time when he was sitting in a different location than normal.
I too love Green Cay, though the season for the best shots is sadly about over. Last week I got there earlier than expected and wandered onto the board walk almost an hour before sunrise and I was amazed at how many people were walking around with flashlights. There must have been 30 people walking at 6:30am.
