Library and Latrine
Ephesus is an ancient Roman city which attracts many visitors and is indeed a beautiful and fascinating place. It is also still being excavated. They apparently valued reading because the library was quite ornate. Privacy at the public latrine however was obviously not a priority way back when.

Great. Where in Italy are you going? Have you been before? My wife and I spent a few days in Rome (my first time) before the Med cruise that we took in 2013. Liked touring Rome and would love to see more of Italy.

Sorry I forgot to mention that Ephesus, while it was a Roman city, is located in Turkey outside of Kusadasi.

Still in planning phase. Fly into Rome-want to see Florence, Venice and Lake Cuomo ,Tuscany.Did visit the Northern part-drove the Brenner Pass

from Austria,Innsbrook .

Sounds nice. My wife and many others I know have Venice as a favorite. I would like to visit Florence for the art museums but I have been told that it is a dirty city otherwise. Not having been there I cannot say. We visited the Amalfi Coast which we toured after docking in Naples. Also Pompeii was totally worth the trip. Also near Naples.
