I think a secondary point of the video is our comparison model is flawed.
We see all the benefits of our way of thinking but fail to see the flaws in it.

Flawed thinking never changes the face in the mirror. I'm still as fantastic as the last time I looked...which is NOW! (God - I'm phenomenal!! And compared to others....no comparison....!!!)

It also never changes a photograph. It cracks me up when I see people who knows everything about a camera. They can tell you all the theory. They are gods gift of knowing how and why everything works in producing a great image.
.....and then you look at their images......and then there is Gravity(Reality)...
The proof is in the pudding not the components of the pudding.
