That was worth watching! I always check out your posts. I very seldom read anything posted by; dirtpusher, keenan, sharpshooter, twardlow, etc. It seems like the liberals outnumber us here.

Thanks I try to always keep an open mind. They bring up more BS than should be allowed.

It's not so much brain washing, but if you can come across, as if you know what you're talking about, then people who don't know what you're talking about, will tend to believe you. It's a trick that's been used for years by showmen, politicians and preachers. It's why you should try to check and verify.

I agree, this is nothing new... also many Ted talks depart from this "script".

PP mentioned his general dislike of graphs, here's literally the first Ted talk I selected...3 ways to spot a bad statistic... a woman of color, with a cockney accent, wearing a miniskirt looking like a rock star's groupie...

however, if you listen to her and comprehend her actual words, she is very compelling and presents actual useful information... being a discriminating gatherer of information, one has to routinely filter out all this type background noise and intentional bias that professional showmen like Limbaugh, Beck, Jones and others use to garner agreement with their agendas.

Come on Green. You left out all the liberals. LOL
The next time you look at UCR(FBI) take it with a grain of salt.
Their are gold in them their mountains, but the mountains is a bunch of garbage.
97 percent of people will agree with me on that...If they are on my team, otherwise....They're fired....

Only my dog thinks I'm a thought leader. However I've given many Tex Talks while showing my basses at guitar shows and festivals. The techniques do work but it does help when the customer can put the bow to the bass. Does the bow make my eyebrows look smaller?

Cheers Pale, that particular bass has been sold twice, it also works as an acoustic, loud enough to practice or to accompany one or two others . All three basses on the right are one offs, used to give me luthier cred to sell my main bass on the left.

In the parody the "thought leader" said ... "If I repeat something three times, you'll believe me." That's the way it has worked for me showing furniture and instruments. Three or four pieces all work together to sell each other. It seems people always want what you don't have, that's where the custom work starts.
