Must have missed his January post about leaving. He had many excellent photos and many long-winded posts - BUT, sorry that he is gone. Quite a few have left in the past year. Perhaps, the folly called "Blocking" has taken a toll. Some infamous blockers (especially Keenan) have been basically shunned, as he scrambles to be heard; almost no one responds to his posts. Perhaps Admin has made a mistake in allowing this avenue open for abuse. Don't know. The topic "counts" have been WAY down. A year ago, traffic counts were numbering in the 800+ range. In the past months it hasn't even hit 800. Backfiring? Thoughts?

There are a lot of things that may cause people to drop from the site, life changing events for example. Some have had the opportunity to announce those departures, some not.
Although the opportunity to block posters is available, I choose not to use it. I have my own ignore button located just behind the glasses I wear. It seems to work rather well.

I agree with Bob. I block no one. I say if you cant stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Very good points, Bob. Agree that blocking is infantile and have never chosen to use it. Thanks for the input!!

Spot on, Hal - and have enjoyed your comments on many controversial topics! Thanks for the ride!

Frabkly,I take exception to your remarks. I had a character send me a couple unsolicited PM's that were quite out of line,so I blocked him. So that makes me infantile?

I've blocked five or six and am glad to no hear from them. There must be some limit to hostility and misinformation.
I'm happy to say Idaho won't be back as far as I'm concerned.

I say I have a short fuse with blithering i***ts, and I don't have to put up with them.
I see that I'm blocked by some, and it is probably a good thing for both of us.
Happy the way things are....

Yes! I'm guess I'm not manly enough to allow some nasty rectum the ability to PM me. Oh,well, back to my knitting...

I've had 2 or 3 PM that were rude, and at least one who threatened to fly to Little Rock (which isn't where I live) to teach me a lesson.
He's blocked, too, but he still threatens occasionally.

We're just not real men because we don't wish to extend the courtesy of allowing PM's from those we don't want to hear from. Life is so unfair!
