I don't have a good camera, but my iPad, iPhone abs Nikon underwater point and shoot usually do OK.
My team was hired to swim at the grand opening of a new spa at the Watergate. It was dark...my iPad took less than great shots, so I attempted to venture onto the artsy side and play up the effects of the water and lights. I can't decide whether they're interesting or just junk....
Like you, I find water imagery really fascinating... I won't go "all Zen-like" on you but its ever changing while remaining whole provides comfort. I especially like #4 because the swimmer's smile shows her joy despite the turmoil of the water around her... here's how I relate to water based imagery
