A couple of folks asked about the steps for my Gallery topic
here, so thought I'd post in PP forum.
I am a novice at using textures, so any additional suggestions will be gratefully accepted!

Trying some deliberate over-exposures with new-to-me Lumix. Clearing fog on a ridge behind the tree.
Convert to b&w with high key layer first.
3. the first texture. Used in multiply blend mode.
4. More pop achieved with curves adjustment. A bit of masking.
5. Second texture layer, soft light mode.
6. Final, with slight crop per a suggestion in the Gallery topic.

Sorry, meant to make this downloadable if anyone wanted to look closer at the layers. Second layer turned off here to show the other colors.

Thank you, Randy! I'm greatly appreciative of your help with Topaz several years ago, and I often find ways to incorporate Simplify to images. This "phase" with textures could go on for a very long time, too
Linda said in part: "I am a novice at using textures, ".... yep, me too and also Patricleshop brushes...
Great tutorial, thanks

Love the final result Linda. Wish I had your ability to "visualise" what you wanted in the end result. I admire your PP skills.
dpullum - thank you; playful pp is addictive!
infocus/John - thanks! Sometimes I have lucky "stumble-upon" moments, but this was more planned
Great job Linda!! And a tutorial to boot. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your vision and methods.
