In a different section, someone apparently characterized me with the words "it must be remembered our ol' pal rehess does a very fine shot of a mushroom. In fact he does it multiple times to the point that that those who do not appreciate a finely crafted snap of vegetables have dubbed him a bit of a one trick pony."
Well, this guy is confused. If I limit myself to one trick, it involves animals, not "vegetables". If you're tired of my squirrel pictures, I kind of apologize.
Today's adventure was a result of our having issues with our automobiles. I took my wife to work this morning so I'd have use of the still-working vehicle during the day. That meant, of course, that I had to retrieve her in the evening. Knowing that I might arrive earlier than she was ready, I brought my camera with me, and then wandered around campus looking for a friendly squirrel.

At first I couldn't find any, and then I came across this lovely lass.

Initially she came right up to my shoes, but once she determined I wasn't one of those students who ignore the "do not feed the squirrels" rule, she went back to work looking for the food she had stashed away just a few months ago.

Apparently her notes were good. {I was on my 69-year-old knees to take these last three pictures}

she continued her search for buried treasure that only a squirrel could properly appreciate.

The squirrels around here are all fox squirrels. Only after photographing them with a telephoto lens did I realize how pretty their tails are, so now I especially look for opportunities to let them show off those colors.
After looking at these pictures, I'm thinking it may be the right time of year for her to be pregnant, which would explain why she looks so "plump" when winter isn't that far in the past {but our winter wasn't that tough on them in any case}

Well, I like your squirrel photos since animals are one of my favorite subjects.
