has anyone purchased from 42st Photo or Walmart for a camera? I finally decided on the 7200 and not sure where to get it from.

I was interested and got one of the best cameras of my life with a refurbished D7200 from Nikon.

Great camera

Find a place that charges quite a bit more. That will be a legitimate, authorized Nikon dealer. Adorama, Amazon, B&H, Cameta, Crutchfield, Hunt's, Robert's, etc.

Please check the reviews of 42nd St photo. I purchased one thing from them and will never go back. Other really good retailers include B+H, Adorama, Cameta and also check out Greentoe for good discounted pricing from major retailers.

If you use the "Search" function at the top of the page you will find many discussions on 42nd St Photo. There is a reason it offers lower prices than legitimate retailers----it is a scam outfit.

Verify that you are getting a US Nikon factory warranty.

Nikon was just running a 10% discount on their refurbished cameras and I just got the D7200 for $719 before tax ($764 with tax). I checked my other go-tos B&H andAdorama andthey were a little bit higher, so I went with Nikon. They every few months offer this discount. So, if you can wait this might be an option.
