When ticking to accept lens profile in RAW, there is always a slight image adjustment. The one exception is when using the 200-500. I do not get any movements of adjustments. Any suggestions as to why please. Just curious.

Thanks,

Tony

Could it be there is no profile for that given lens?

Lens profiles are there to adjust know distortion (pin cushion & barrel distortion) caused by a lens. When you see little to no adjustment on screen it's because the lens in question has little to no distortion in its lens formula.

Since the lens is listed (right?), and he can check it, there must be a profile.

I'd like to see that check box at the top of the column, rather than at the bottom.

You may have created an auto import with that lens already selected and not see it happen as it occurs so quickly when importing multiple images using Lightroom preset.

In Lightroom there is no profile for a Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS USM. There is one for the Mark II and when I use that one, I don't see and difference either. This tells me that it is a pretty good lens with very little or no distortion. It ought to be for $7,200.
