Today we had to say goodby to my Sam, a beautiful lilac point siamese...

As many of you know, when I adopted Sam in May of 2008, I had no idea he came from a hoarders house. He loved to cuddle with all my animals, but in the almost 9 years that he lived with us, he never let me touch him unless I would catch him when he least expected it. Right after Leo passed from mouth cancer, we found out that Sam had Lymphocytic Leukemia. The vet prescribed medicine that we had to give him daily, so in order to get him, Sam needed to live in my grandpup's huge crate... he seemed comfortable, but what kind of life is that, especially no one to cuddle with.... About a week later, he wasn't eating very much and when I would pick him up, he was all bones.... so today he joined his three other brothers that I know are happy to see him, so they can all play together over the rainbow bridge....

Today I will be doing a lot of crying, but the love and laughter that our beloved pets bring us every day, outweighs the tears...

Today we had to say goodby to my Sam, a beautiful ... (show quote)

i'm so sorry to hear about your loss of another beloved furbaby angela. although it was difficult, you did what was right.
i'm sure he and his brothers had a great reunion over the bridge and are running around like young kittens again.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Angela! I know he had a good life with you and David.

Thanks so much Cathy... he did enjoy living in my house with all his fur-siblings... he was just so beautiful and it saddens me that for 9 years he didn't trust us.

Oh, Angela....I am so sad to hear the news of Sam. I have been praying for him. It is such a hard decision to make. You gave him everything you could over the years. I also believe he is home over the rainbow bridge. He was one of God's beloved creatures. He was a beautiful cat.
My condolences to you, friend.

Thank you so much, my friend.... he was so beautiful and I know he had a good life here, even though I wasn't allowed to be a part of it, except to feed him. He was such a good boy that just loved to snuggle with his brothers (not Lola, because she's a diva) My heart would break seeing him in the crate and when we took him out every night to give him his meds... he couldn't wait to get away from us. It was no life to be caged up and he was getting so thin, I could feel every bone on his back. I know he's in a better place and we will all meet up again someday, for now he's with my Leo, Tigger, Odie and my Rocky...
