ANY judge appointed by this administration will be conservative and Gorsuch seems like VERY qualified and a man of exceptional character. How he got appointed by President Piece of S**t Lyin' Trump is a miracle. I think he will be approved and he should be. We could do FAR worse.

Seems to me that Trump has taken a chance and put his faith in the advice of all the conservative aids and hirees he has surrounded himself with. I'm not sure he could have come up with as good of a choice on his own.

The more I see of this clown, the LESS I think he can do. You are almost certainly correct that it was someone on the staff with actual intelligence that told him to nominate the judge.

In our day, being a guardian of the Constitution is no pre-requisite for becoming a Supreme Court Justice. Just look at Ruth Bader Ginsburg who recently tried to dissuade the Egyptians from looking to the United States Constitution for guidance when drafting their new Constitution.
