Really getting in to learning this program, even made a brush that produces my signature on any of my photos I want. Tonight my goal was to understand layers a little bit more. Finally got levels down, now tackling the scary layers. soon i will be able to deal with curves!(gasp)

This is a photo of the Confederate monument at Stone Mountain Georgia. Known as Stone Mountain!!! For those who do not know it was carved by the same man who created Mt Rushmore. On the side of the mountain is Jefferson Davis, Robert E Lee, and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. There is a big state park there, and it is also home to the 2nd largest highland games and 3rd largest arts and craft fair in the nation.

I took that shot from the cable car going up the mountain. I added a separate layer of a Confederate army battle flag, that I had given texture to with the watercolor filter. I lowered the opacity so that all of the statue would come through with the flag fading into the background as if it was calling from the past.

I am relatively new at doing anything more than minor tweaks with software, and am enjoying the experience. I am also a big civil war buff, having had ancestors who served on both sides. I like both Lee and Grant, Jackson and Sherman, Stuart and Sheridan.

it was early summer, june or july. I know it was before the yellow daisy art festival which is in sept. Google stn mtn state park, or contact the georia park commision. I go recomens seeing the games. They have everything from tossing the cayber, to sheepdog competitions. A huge number of Pipe bands, it is a great time.

Upon completion of this monument several people had a sit down dinner on the shoulder of General Lee, the buckle on the horses bridle is about 8ft high! This gives you an idea of the size of this. Good job on the layers!
