It's been crazy busy at work, which makes things busy at home and it all rolls downhill....this forum has gotten pushed aside.

After being back for a day or two, I notice that here are almost no intelligent OPs....just a link to someone else's argument or thought. At the same time, rational discussion has ground to a virtual halt, with the usual childish name-calling and insults from the usual suspects ensuing immediately. There is not even an attempt on their part of rational adult discussion. Keenan, Sharpshooter, Dirtpusher et. al. have nothing of value to add, yet continue to interject their h**e and filth at every turn.

I enjoyed the discussions (at least until they derailed) in the past....but it has become very one-sided in here.....hardly stimulating. It's come to the point where the attic is not a place for heated discussion, but a liberal circle-jerk. Disappointing.

The Attic has become little more than libs hating on our president, funny thing is a couple of these people post as if they are doing some sort of service to our country, I think that Keenan somehow thinks that the Attic has readership equivalent to the New York Times or the Wall Street Journal, this place has become his life's mission. It is no longer worth engaging with these people.

Your constant need to lie about me and exaggerate the amount of time I spend here (less than a cumulative hour a day on average, dropping in for a few minutes here and there while I'm online doing other things - research, working in my business, etc.) evidences a serious level of insecurity and inferiority complex on your part. It proves that you have no intelligent refutations or rebuttals to any of my material, and have to continuously retreat behind childish attacks and juvenile made up fantasies about my life, based on repetitive scripts that you repeat over and over and over again to troll me, ad infinitum, that were worn out the first 100 times you posted them. Your childish need to try to get under my skin by making up these childish lies about me reveals a lot about you while saying nothing about me. Your blatant hypocrisy and double standards in the way you repetitively hold me and other liberals to completely different standards than your fellow right wing buds, who you NEVER complain about their time spent in the Attic, or their number of posts, or their name calling, etc., destroys any remaining shreds of credibility you might have had before you trot out these silly, childish attacks.

What's even more hilarious is how you are so completely oblivious to the way you implicate yourself every time when you attack me for the time spent here in the Attic, given that you have spent way more time than I have. 18,070 posts over 4 years! You just admitted that you have wasted 4 years of your life posting thousands more threads and posts than me, and for more years than I have, deluding yourself into thinking that the readership here is equivalent to the New York Times or Wall Street Journal! Such a pathetic life mission you've had for 4 years now and counting!

The chuckling comes in when it can be correctly stated that it used to be little more than the Pubs hating out prior president,etc. The mentality of the critics remains unchanged and both targets provided or provide plenty of ammunition! The trick for some is to not be obsessed with it to the extent their judgement is impaired. LOL!

Yes, well I have been guilty of trashing president Obama, but when I did I generally tried to point to an objectionable policy or statement for my displeasure with our former president which included his blatant hypocrisy, such as calling Bush unpatriotic for the rise in our National Debt and then Obama turns around after making that statement and doubles the National Debt. Then there were the bald faced lies.... I am afraid that Trump will continue to give the same ammunition to the left that Trump gave to the right, but the hatred directed towards Trump I am afraid is even worse than that directed towards Obama, and then the democrats have the press on their side so they have a megaphone for their conspiracy theories and trash talk that the right never had....

As far as the Attic itself goes, your point is taken, there was a lot of trashing of Obama during his tenure, those that supported Obama will find Trump just as objectionable as Trump supporters found Obama to be because of different roles each side thinks our government should play in our society. I guess the thread is a little off, if we could just rid the Attic of Keenan, then possibly things would calm down a bit and more respectful exchanges could occur... Think about that for a minute or two.
