Thistle plants are prickly but the flowers are not and butterflies find them very appealing. These are just some bonus shots that happened while pursuing birds. Maybe next time I'll just concentrate on the butterflies and flowers!

Sorry about your snow but I'm glad to share a little brightness. I'm pleased you enjoyed these. If it makes you feel better, we had a mild freeze two nights this past week. I couldn't believe it.

Wonderful downloads Carol! This is a flawless set, strong, crisp colors and detail. I'm a thistle fan through their entire cycle. This early flowering stage is certainly when they are most attractive. Beautiful butterflies!
